The Western Region TAB Program is currently working on two community-based projects while providing short term assistance to a variety of brownfield communities throughout EPA regions 9 & 10.

Organization or Project: Oregon DEQ Brownfields Program

Description: TAB acts as a resource to the ODEQ brownfields program. TAB and the Oregon DEQ are continuing to explore ways to take the volunteer-driven brownfields inventory project to other small cities in Oregon. TAB also is assisting with the planning of the 2007 Oregon Brownfields Conference to be held in March of 2007 in Salem, Oregon.

Description: The Idaho DEQ is taking the Oregon DEQ St. Helens RSVP project (using retired community volunteers to develop a brownfields inventory and promote brownfields redevelopment in their communities) to six cities in Idaho. TAB is responsible for developing training materials and training volunteers.
